Book Recommendation: The Four Agreements, Don Miguel Ruiz, a @TomBrady favorite. 1.) Be impeccable with your word 2.) Don’t take anything personally 3.) Don’t make assumptions 4.) Always do your best.
Book Recommendation (as many sit inside:)Mindset, by Carol Dweck. This book and it's concepts formed the bedrock for what our team's culture was based and can be applied to all areas of performance. We broke it down into key components, with copies available in the school library.
Charlie Weitzel: Rather than his statistical accolades I'm most proud of his leadership. His leadership style was not born from a preconceived notion of what it should look like to lead, but rather thoughtfully constructed off his own personal experience and personable strengths.
Antonio Rosado: As individual's we strive to get the most out of our performance, but our mental & physical capacity are operating at a threshold far below our potential. Tony breaks the mold in his ability to get the most out of his capabilities, with an unmatched mentality.
David Brennan: We speak about the idea of toughness fairly regularly. It's not solely physicality but rather the ability to consciously break outside of your comfort zone. Whether it was his captaincy, preparation or performance, DB displayed true toughness throughout his career.
Ejiro Egodogbare: Passion is something that cannot be faked. Ejiro's passion was on full display every day we were together. Each game his booming voice can be heard heard in the gym whether he's on the floor or not. More times than not he would enhance our game play. A leader.
Jere Rose: Heading into this season he knew there would be very little opportunity to contribute on the court, but the expectation to lead would nevertheless be the same. He harnessed his competitiveness and charisma to the benefit of his peers.
Tim Smith: He may not have had many opportunities to serve as general on the floor but he most certainly served as one within our locker room. Timmy we sincerely thank you!
Reid Corless: Liking a role&accepting a role are two very distinct differences, despite not liking his role he accepted it, only bringing with that acceptance grit a growth mindset & positivity that served his peers. He had to fill a difficult role and did so with grace&maturity
Nate Ukoha: Throughout a long winter season it's critical for a team to generate energy regularly. Nate was most certainly an energy giver. I'll miss that energy, enthusiasm & smile, great season Nate!
Excited to announce that the season will continue this Wednesday vs @SLSHoopsCT in the first round of the Nepsac Class B tournament. Location and time TBD #RLSBasketball#ISL
