@Dr_JZP works both ways too I.e change your view on the field you know very well. Physics helped me really stress test some drug mode of action beliefs. Listening to basic biology helped me realise that an idea for ultra low bio marker detection was never going to work in real life.
@Dr_JZP The flip side is that it can be used to your advantage when it comes to your journey of learning and applying those other disciplines. You enter without the biases and dogma can’t yet shape your questions. Great for testing assumptions which is valuable!
On my way to London for the @sfccapitaluk panel discussion on exits. Looking forward to the detail on preparation, DD, and how the exits came about. Will be great to see our investors and fellow portfolio companies face to face too!
Patient engagement we conducted years ago revealed their pragmatism - cures are ideal but better condition mgmt would make a huge impact. This sentiment was shared in a drug dev meeting last week suggesting a gap between #regulatory & #patient outlook: https://t.co/sgXLX08MPF
It has been all hands on deck this week! The team have been back at Unit 9, sterile filling and labelling eye drops in our #prototype packaging before it heads off for pre-market testing. An exciting few months ahead for us! #lifesciences#startup#healthcare#biotech#pharma
What a game so far. England’s driving maul is one of the best I’ve seen in rugby full stop. Kept ENG in the game despite the early red card. Probably more talk in the NZ camp at HT - can they afford not to compete in the air? Giving ENG easy field position?#WRWC#ENGvNZL
👇👇 why appropriate patient/public involment in innovation is important in developing good and safe solutions to real world challenges👇👇 3.5min video = extract insights into: patient sub-populations, usability testing design, appropriate outcome measures, comms language.
@RNIB I echo the above comments. Great video and a great example of how patient and public involvement in research and innovation can ultimately help create good and safe products/services to real clinical/daily life challenges. Value in 3.5 minutes.
@sfccapitaluk @KwasiKwarteng I hear a lot about excess capital floating about from people who don’t publicly identify themselves as investors, but do want to put the money to use. Perhaps the now increased capacity for investment at lower risk will help with putting money to use?
@sfccapitaluk @KwasiKwarteng Great to see these updates to schemes, especially SEIS. Limit has to rise to even try and keep pace with what it takes to progress ideas in regulated sectors like healthcare to that first major milestone. Grant funding already diversifying well too.
A truly magnificent closing ceremony for an outstanding games. Was dreading the end of the games, but the ceremony was about going out guns blazing on a positive note. Ozzy Osbourne live 😍😍. #b2022#CommonwealthGamesClosingCeremony#CWG22
Day 11 #b2022#CommonwealthGames2022 - #hockey 🥇match. AUS 7 - 0 IND. very one sided game with AUS’s high work rate, fitness and aerial attack taking the game away from IND in the first half. Suffocating defence and rapid on the break.
