Last week, the Globe and Mail published an opinion piece on infertility, including quotes from our director, Dr. Jennifer Gordon. We are grateful for the media coverage and hope it helps destigmatize this shared experience. https://t.co/cc8pjzjkXR

@GROWW_Program has provided me with so many opportunities, but the best one by far is the group of friends/amazing women researcher pals I have made as a result - so awesome to see @BethJSander across the pond in Bergen, NO for @OSSDtweets#OSSD2024 !! 🇳🇴🫶
Today is a day for celebrating women, girls, and gender-expansive people who fight for gender equity. We are grateful for how far we’ve come, but much more must be done to advance human rights!

It's #WorldMenopauseDay! One of our recent studies found that 39% of the perimenopausal experienced negative changes to their mood when their estrogen levels changed. We are now conducting a trial to examine this further, and thank our participants! #reproductivementalhealth
Ashley has been a grad student with Dr. Gordon since 2018 and is an SSHRC doctoral fellow. Her research has focused on interventions for women experiencing infertility and the influence of infertility on sexual function. We will miss seeing her in the lab this year!
Our research has been focused on two areas of reproductive health that can negatively impact mental and sexual health: infertility and perimenopause.
We hope to increase awareness, help people cope and improve their well-being. #worldsexualhealthday#WSHD2023
Our graduate student Megan won a travel award from @CPA_SCP to speak at the ICBM Conference tomorrow!
If you're at the conference, check out Friday’s symposium at 3:30 PM to hear Megan talk about our pilot program!

Congrats to our recent honours student, Anas, for being accepted into med school at the U of S! In his thesis, he explored intentions to conceive and mental health of female clinical psych doctoral students. He hopes to apply what he learned to the work he does in the future.
We had a blast presenting our research at the @CPA_SCP convention in Toronto!
Congrats to @strangesonia, who won a student travel bursary award, and @AshleyBalsom, for winning awards for her poster presentation and paper! #cpa2023
Last week Dr. Gordon was on CBC Radio, answering questions about #menopause and #mentalhealth.
She was joined by Amanda Scollan, NP, and Tanya Kappo, who spoke about Indigenous perspectives on menopause.
