🎁 Ridgeview Middle School’s PTSA, with the support of school staff, brought the holiday spirit to life through their Holiday House initiative, helping families in need this season.
Thanks to the generosity of the school community, dozens of gifts and winter essentials ❄️
🍎 Even if your student qualified last year, a new FARMS application is required every school year to get free or reduced-price school meals.
💻 Apply today! One application covers all students in your household: https://t.co/F4zKUlISgQ.
Leadership has a way of circling back.
The names change.
The settings shift. But the core challenges—resistance, ambiguity, conflict, pressure—tend to return in new forms.
The real test of growth isn’t how you reflect on the past, but how differently you respond the next time you’re standing in familiar tension.
Be deliberate.
Be reflective.
And when the pattern reappears (and it will), let your actions, not just your words, show who you’ve become.🤍
Short weeks don’t mean less to do.
They just mean less time to do it.
Progress doesn’t always show up in big wins.
It’s in the steady presence, the small decisions, and the quiet resilience.
So, if all you do this week is keep things moving and keep showing up, you’re doing well.
Happy last day of June!
I’ve talked to a few people.
Looked closely at some others.
And I see so many people just trying their best to human right now.
Holidays are joyful & hard.
The work is meaningful & exhausting.
Life is precious & complicated.
Whatever you are.
However you feel.
Hang in. Hang on.
🩷
I love made up combined words.
Nercited (Nervous + Excited)
Happxiety (Happiness + Anxiety)
Relaxment (Relaxation + Enjoyment)
However, this new one is coming in hot today!
Go be flawsome today!
I was listening to a podcast yesterday morning where the guest was asked about their strong work ethic.
Their answer.
Crazy passion.
It’s an unwavering and relentless commitment to making your vision come to life.
It’s a non-stop pursuit of what matters most.
Go out and be crazy passionate today.
At our systemwide meeting this week, I shared this mantra.
A message that says.
Know what you’re after.
Be gentle in how you get there.
How will you lead to build trust today?
Have you ever been curious what other people say about you?
Have you ever heard a word or character trait used to describe you that struck you?
The truth is, who we know ourselves to be and who others believe we are is not always in alignment.
The best thing you can do is live in your most authentic space as a leader and let go of the stories others might tell about who you are.
Be you today!
Leadership can sometimes be like a room with 3 corners.
We either stand together, on our own, or reach out our hands.
Figuring out where to stand can be complicated, but we must be brave enough to move around the room seamlessly.
Where will you stand today?
I am a perpetual work in progress.
On any given day, I’m trying to get better either as a person or as a leader.
Sometimes I’m building my skills.
Other times I’m building my mental fortitude.
And on other days I am working on becoming the best version of me.
None of these things will come with a certificate or a degree or accolades.
But they are the most important investment I can make.
Me.
What will you work on today?
Today marks a special start to the new school year. I'm excited, but sad, as I've spent the last 3 years putting my blood, sweat & tears into building the MVA with the most incredible leaders & staff. Thankful for what we created together & all I have learned. On to Ridgeview MS!
