Had to share this AMAZING watercolour and ink painting by a grade 10 student 🤩 #proudteacher @SJOA_TCDSB @TCDSB

Grade 10 students played with dry mediums (pastels and charcoal) to perfect their colour blending skills. They mimicked some Georgia O’Keeffe flowers to create these wonderful works of art! @SJOA_TCDSB @TCDSB

Gr 9’s were introduced to Kandinsky’s abstract art. We made a curriculum connection by studying the importance of music in Indigenous Can culture & listened to a Flute Song by Walter MacDonald White Bear to create these! #nac10 @SJOA_TCDSB @TCDSB

@MPSJartsCardoso @SJOA_TCDSB @TCDSB They were fun! Was easy to find garden wire & clippers at the dollar store (pre shut down). I know students wanted to do more, but it was a good compromise considering the limited amount of studio time and the shortness of the quad 🤗 At home students can use clothes hanger

@Dimakarchaeo @MrJFraga @TCDSB For secondary schools, yes! Technically teachers can use their prof. judgement to decide for the course they are teaching if they’d like to end with only a culminating task, only an exam or both. Some teachers are choosing to continue with exams
