Y’all, somebody’s got to help me make sense of this. It’s below freezing here in North Carolina, and we’re nine weeks out from Hurricane Helene. My neighbors are still living in unlivable conditions because a certain letter agency isn’t as helpful as they’d like you to think. Housing vouchers are running out—or only available an hour away, which doesn’t work for folks who lost everything, including their jobs.

Meanwhile, the government just sent $1 BILLION of taxpayer money to Africa for housing. Excuse me?! The U.S. government isn’t a producer—it’s a consumer of our hard-earned dollars. And instead of helping American citizens—like my neighbors who desperately need housing—they’re offering loans? Loans?! These families don’t need more debt—they need the government to do its job.

🇺🇸 Congress, you have a Republican majority—use it! Shut down the reckless spending and start prioritizing Americans. Oh, and while you’re at it, stop that same letter agency from stealing land from people under the guise of “greenways.” This overreach is out of control.

We need leadership.

We need accountability.

And we need it NOW.
