@Lakersided310@TheLakersReview Watson and Eason are staying with their teams as well. The Nuggets can simply trade Cam Johnson, and the Rockets don't even have money issues.
@24Dparks Why would the Nuggets let Peyton Watson walk to their Western Conference rival? That makes no. sense. The Nuggets will very likely trade Cam Johnson to Eastern Conference team, and do whatever they have to do in order to resign Wataon.
The error Rob Pelinka constantly makes is stacking his all chips for a specific offseason underestimating how the market will react. It’s awesome the Lakers have all this cap space… however they can’t offer a Jaylen Brown type of a player in a potential S&T like the celtics can so it’s essentially useless, now your options are limited because other teams have been making moves while the Lakers have been holding out waiting for the perfect move.
@MIM_mmelo@AnthonyIrwinLA At this point, I very much thinking we're simply running back With De'Andre Ayton/Jaxson Hayes. The options are extremely thin at this point.
@rphenomenal_1@AnthonyIrwinLA The Lakers still operate like it's 2010. The real path to flexibility/optionaility in 2026 is having tradable contracts that other teams want. Rob Pelinka simply doesn't understand this.
Detroit Pistons are conveying that Jalen Duren will not be moved and are solely focused on coming to terms on an agreement to keep their All-Star center, league sources tell me.
@Baldmojito Atleast we take comfort at the fact that it was never to happen for us. Even if Jalen Duren was truly available, he likely would've gotten sent to the Celtics for Jaylen Brown.
At this point I think LAL probably signs Mitch and promises him a starting spot which would be a mistake but I suspect they’ll be desperate. Trying to get guys here by promising roles is a pretty common Pelinka thing
Worth noting both the salary shedding moves OKC has made sent talent east. Presti is too smart to make his western conference competition stronger, even with his back up against the wall.
Seems like the optionally gimmick that Pelinka was talking about should be reworded to "optionally " to ether get worse or bring back the same team on far larger payroll with even less tradable options down the road.
Yet again, this cap space "plan" is looking like a joke. That 'plan" was used as a excuse to kick the can down the load. It would be funny, but yet very tragic if overpay to bring everyone, except for Lebron who they let walk and massively overpay for Tobias Harris.
Again, Laker Nation, let me put it in plain terms:
Rob Pelinka has “bad credit” as far as cap space. Instead of being able to take his cap space and buy the things he most desires, he has to pay his past due bills or pay his creditors for things in collection
