Getting students thinking about being a part of a positive chain reaction @DearOldNorthern. Student made a link for a positive influence they could make today and another link for a goal for a positive influence that they will complete this year.

I flipflop on whether it's better to flip lessons that are tough vs easy for students. Flipping easy lessons makes reteaching easier when students do not/cannot access the content, but flipping hard lessons lets students access info mult.-times at home.#pennlit15#flippedlearning
I do actually use LaTeX and love it! But I can't imagine teaching my kids the coding for that on top of teaching them the math, especially if the kids are not looking to go into a math related field after high school....maybe with my high level kids
@RMyers0613 I don't know much about it, but some of the online math courses for high school kids require the students to use LaTex. So that might be something to look into.
@jmcusano I'd like to explore possibilities for how students might share their mathematical thinking with others (through Google Keep or other tools). #PennLit15
For me, every time I try an online assessment with my kids, they cringe. I don't know if it is because of the negative experiences they have had with state tests, or if it is just the nature of a math course. Kids need to write to process math.
I think technology inspires learning the best when there is some form of inquiry driving the learning. Also, it can be effective for providing immediate feedback in real time which is extremely helpful for both teacher and student. #PennLit15
Technology should be used where it is appropriate to enhance student learning. It should not be thrown into a lesson only for technology's sake. #pennlit15
