At this stage I’m resigned to him, Saliba & Saka missing big portions of next season. It starts in just over a month, it’d be silly to expect them to be anywhere near that. For the long term health of themselves & our aims, we need to allow them to fully recuperate

Mirroring the side that won six trophies in a year.
Genius.
@DarrenArsenal1@ROADEGAARD What’s even funnier is some fans losing their mind over a kid that they’ve never heard of before now and likely to not make it the top level.
The UK Government will now reward people for walking
Under the new scheme, people who walk 30 minutes a day or a marathon a month will be rewarded with "incentives and discounts"
HoA is a dedicated and incredibly loyal fan, as well as a top football journalist. He doesn’t post everything he knows. He seeks to inform the fanbase earnestly, as and when he can, without compromising the club. I have so much appreciation and respect for what he does.
So when he calls out poor outcomes at the club, it’s really worth taking note.
My own issue isn’t Arsenal’s strategy here. They’re clearly of the belief that they can use the situations of clubs like Leicester, Villa and Newcastle to leverage quoted fees down to more reasonable levels. And I get that. I have run the numbers of Villa and Newcastle and believe both need to generate meaningful profit this summer and have few options with which to do so. Leicester’s been relegated to League 1 and were likely to get less than what Arsenal were offering if it went to tribunal. It all makes sense…
But only so long as you have the player side (player, agent, family) fully locked down. Because if you don’t, and you let the clock run whilst applying leverage, you can get gazumped. Just like we were with Monga.
My concern is Berta is aloof by nature. His whole MO is based on agreeing personal terms with multiple targets before eventually transacting with a club. This does nothing to lock a player down - in fact, it does the exact opposite. It makes the relationship feel transactional.
What happened with Monga could easily happen with other meaningful, first team targets if we try to combine two conflicting strategies. It’s poor operations and if Arsenal had a top football exec, he/she would not stand for it.
Lessons need to be learned and fast.
Important to ensure discussions are not labelled as crash outs. I dont have the privilege of recording a video so Im just going to explain my fair and honest thoughts thus far.
Fans are not angry at Monga going to City its more so the laid back approach of trying to outsmart a market where money talks.
Losing out on a talent who badly wanted Arsenal over £3/4 million is not being “disciplined”its just dithering and stubbornness. He would have gone on loan, a club would have covered his wages and you could have flipped for profit but Andrea took too long and City should have never even had a chance. Its just the truth.
Not paying ungodly amounts to Tonali’s agents is fair and the same can be said about his wages and £100m fee. I find it hard to believe fans would have been angry at signing Fernandes for £85m if that who YOU really want. The market has shifted and we need adapt. Lowballing Newcastle for a midfielder who improves us massively is just a piss take. Make a serious offer and get it done if HE is the ONE. That is what fans are saying.
Villa have told us £130m for Morgan. If YOU believe that is way too much, make a FAIR offer and lets see how they react. Barcola is not any cheaper so just make your mind up.
Rice, Saliba, Timber and Saka are struggling and we need to ensure they are taken care of while having adequate cover to begin our title defence.
Mikel always calls for fair critique and as a fan its fair to express concerns. I personally dont need transfer dopamine but im just asking to move correct and that is based on information I have. Im sure the club will make moves, lets get a move on.
We are Premier League Champions, move like it.
