Scottsdale Residents! Push back against Toilet to Tap!

Make sure to express strong opposition to the city’s plans to implement direct potable reuse — commonly known as toilet to tap — for our drinking water supply. While I understand the serious water challenges we face in the desert Southwest, I do not believe this technology is sufficiently proven safe for direct consumption over the long term. I have serious doubts that it will consistently deliver the high water quality our families expect, and I am not convinced that adequate, independent, long-term testing has been completed to address all potential contaminants, including emerging ones that current regulations may not fully cover. Our health and the safety of our drinking water should not be compromised by rushing into a system with unresolved questions. We need to urge our elected officials to pause this initiative, conduct more comprehensive independent studies, and fully address these safety and quality concerns before moving forward. Make your voices heard!
We can appreciate leadership on water sustainability but ask that they prioritize solutions that truly protect public health.
