In answer to today's question I said "I first thought of this [existentially terrifying thing] when I was 5, sitting in a Sunday school class."

Kiddo turned to my wife, who said "I have never thought of these things."

Maybe together we make one competent parent?

The kiddo has hit a long stretch of asking questions like "what if I don't actually exist?" My strategy has largely been to answer "I know, right?"

Then we have hours-long conservations about the nature of existence. Is this good parenting? Bad? Fun? Exhausting? Who can say.
