@TychoBrahe High school, early 00s, my friends and I are GRINDING in Phantasy Star Online on GameCube when I walk through a controller wire. It pulls the Cube off the shelf and the game freezes. I should have lost some good friends that day...
@cwgabriel Reminds me of the time I tried playing MTG in a local store tournament with my "unbeatable" (according to my friends) deck. They wiped the floor with me.
@ZenithMMO I want to relive my first MMO experience. I was a huge doubter, but my roommate said "just try it." Six hours later I'm slaying wolves, grinding for that better sword, and refusing to give the computer back.
@Gen_Con When our scheduled game instructor for Scythe didn't show up, a passerby saw us struggling and spent almost two hours walking us through the game!
@TychoBrahe Also "There is a kind of blank psychological posture only the very well educated can aspire to." I have swam in those circles and this is spot on.
Never trust a salesman, playing a part // Or a lawyer who has only greed in his heart // These things remain true // But I must implore you // Never ever trust a fart
@TychoBrahe Was going to tweet you that zip code 60606 must contain the gateway to Hell when I looked it up on a lark and realized it's where I had the worst job of my life. Confirmed.
