ENCAMPMENT SUPPORT RALLY WEDNESDAY AUGUST 13 NOON, CITY HALL
City Policy on encampments will be discussed at the Executive Committee on August 20. The rally is to demonstrate ahead of time what citizens want. There will be an open mic and a light lunch will be served.
If @realDonaldTrump was not the president of the US today, this would have been his post on so called “Truth” social:
“Warmongers democrats are leading us to another war in the Middle East and destroying American lives. If I were the president, this would have never happened. I would have stopped that war within 24 hours”
Many of the folks from the encampment near Carmichael Outreach that was taken down yesterday moved to Pepsi Park. This afternoon, the police moved in to take down the encampment.
People experiencing homelessness deserve to be housed — and, most importantly, treated with dignity as full citizens of our society. We call on the city and province to urgently allocate resources toward providing shelter, rather than using them to mistreat or dehumanize those in need.
If you can, please come to Pepsi Park this evening any time between 5:30 and 7 pm to be in solidarity with those who are still there. If you are able, please bring some cold drinks and snacks.
Please let Mayor Bachynski and your City Councillor know you want the city to provide support for encampments until there is housing for everyone.
It’s that time again—we’re getting the Green Patch ready for another amazing season, and we’d love your help! From May 20 to 24, we’ll be out in the garden every afternoon from 2 to 5 PM, planting, prepping, and enjoying the fresh spring air together.
Whether you’re a gardening pro or just want to try something new, this is a great chance to get your hands dirty, meet some great folks, and help grow something special in the heart of the city. Come for one day or come for all—it’s up to you!

We are at the Saskatchewan Legislative Building today to hear the budget address. Our focus today on Education, Advance Education, Healthcare, Housing, and Mental Health & Addictions. We are expecting the @skgov to invest in aforementioned areas and address the needs of communities in their 2025-2026 budget.
We are particularly advocating for more funding for post secondary education, so that post secondary institutions’ budget short falls do not become a burden on students— given students are already struggling with higher fees.

The purpose of this survey is to collect data on University of Regina students’ opinions and experiences of food security/insecurity, their views about the campus garden, and their recommendations for addressing student food insecurity.
All University of Regina (UofR) students are encouraged to participate in this survey, regardless of whether they have experienced food insecurity. No prior knowledge of the campus garden is required. Our goal is to obtain a diverse range of perspectives on this topic.
