Gracias @UniofNottingham for our Year 2-6 Spanish cinema trip, university tour & scavenger hunt. Rise Park children LOVED learning about studying languages at University as well as experiencing their first Spanish film experience! #primarylanguages .
Mrs Kaur shared with us the meaning of the Sikh celebration, Vaisakhi and how it is celebrated around the world. Happy Vaisakhi to all that celebrated! 🙏😀 #wearerisepark#wearediverse#HappyVaisakhi
Year 2 have been carrying out a survey for our topic 'Vamos en un picnic' asking their friends what they would like to take on the picnic! Some even used commas in lists and a conjunction ...in Spanish!
Year 5- Our Quinto Grado are budding Spanish-singing superstars! As part of our 'el cuerpo' topic, we have been learning the song 'Juan Pequeño baila' to help our sticky knowledge of body parts in Spanish. Have a look at our very own Juan and Juanita showing you what they know!
Today in Spanish our fenomenal Tercer Grado used their Spanish phonic knowledge to read the school subjects aloud. Then, they decoded what these subjects were in English and used their prior knowledge of days of the week to make full spoken sentences from a visual timetable!
Year 6: Sexto grado kicked off their new year with a new topic! We have started learning about profesiones (jobs) so we can fulfil our longer-term aim of saying what we want to do when we are older.
Year 3: Tercer Grado kicked off this term's Spanish topic of 'Mi escuela' (My school) learning about classroom instructions in Spanish. We spotted verb patterns for bossy verbs and learned 8 new instructions, playing Simon says to practise.
Year 5 - Quinto grado activated some prior learning in their Spanish lesson this week by practising the body parts to 'Cabeza, hombros, rodillas, pies' (Heads, shoulders, knees and toes)!
Year 3 - Our Tercer Grado put this term's Spanish learning on numbers to good use today by playing Christmas bingo - here are two of our winners! We also learned about 'el Belen' and designed and labelled our own nativity scenes. #feliznavidad@RPLanguages
Year 4 - Here are some of our wonderful Cuarto Grado showcasing some festive spirit with their arboles de Navidad 🙂 This week in Spanish, we learned about festive traditions in Spain and designed our own Christmas trees! #feliznavidad@RPLanguages
'Year 2 have been using sentence builders to write a Spanish sentence using 'I like ...' as part of our Celebrations topic. Some of us used pictures to help or a conjunction to challenge us! HUEPA (WOOHOO in Spanish!)'
Y6 - Sexto grado have been testing their retention of daily routine phrases in Spanish this week and expanding what we know to answer the key question: ¿Qué haces por la mañana? - What do you do in the morning?
This week Y5 have been learning all about the life of Malala Yousafzai, understanding how she has fought for gender and education rights. We were amazed to learn of the impact she has had in our world, as we created fact files about her life.
Year 5- This week, Quinto Grado have been completing self and peer assessment of their writing on expanded noun phrases describing houses in Spanish. Here they are looking out for wonky word order and adjectives matching nouns!
Wonderfully, one of our class friends brought in a special map linked to their heritage to celebrate our Harvest Around the World Day, which they shared with us! We had fun learning about each other's culture and languages. @RPLanguages
In Spanish this week, Sexto Grado have been using their hand-made relojes to interview a classmate about times in their school day. They used a visual timetable to ask and answer the key question: A que hora...? #TimeFlies@RPLanguages
