Yesterday, our students enjoyed perfect weather and were able to return to an in-person Amazing Race! As they engaged in the day-long adventure full of tasks and challenges, the students explored and experienced the beauty our wonderful city has to offer.

Amazing Race 2021!
This rite of passage each year for our 6th graders finds them racing around downtown Chicago on a scavenger hunt to historical monuments.

Although the clues are set by the teachers, this fun project fosters independence, teamwork, and navigational skills before and during the day. The students prepare for this event with orienteering, map reading, and independent research on monuments in downtown Chicago.
