A consultant in SC MN sent photos of severe fall armywom infestation in an oat cover crop. The larvae were nearly full grown. It might be worth checking any emerged fall cereals, lush grass hay ground an possibly very late-planted sweet corn.

Check out new publication from our group by @NavjotS39 in @WorldofWeeds' Weed Technology titled
"Effect of herbicide application timing and sequence on waterhemp and common lambsquarters control, Enlist E3® soybean yield, and economic returns"
Read: https://t.co/Wy0nRym8Zp
Key takeaways:
✅HG 15 acetochlor-alone PRE provided >85% waterhemp control at both sites in MN.
✅A PRE application is essential to protect soybean yield.
✅Early-POST Liberty (V1 stage) followed by Enlist + Roundup (V3) outperformed Liberty applied late (R1) as a "rescue treatment" after Enlist + Roundup.
✅In fields with high waterhemp pressure, a full program—PRE + two POSTs (V1 & V3)—resulted in consistently higher yields.
✅Adding HG 15 to the mid-POST (V3) tank didn't improve waterhemp control or yield when PRE and early-POST were already applied.
📌Note: this study was conducted in 2021 and 2022 (dry years). However, with enough moisture, waterhemp can keep emerging until canopy closure.
