Every leader:
Well, we tried reducing testing, removing masks, giving up on getting people vaccinated, and telling everyone it's time to live with it, and that didn't work. Anyone got any other ideas?
Every scientist, doctor, nurse, engineer:

Everyone is talking about Nurse #RaDondaVaught and her criminal conviction for a fatal med error.
Do you know how many times I have caught an error ordered by the physician?
No one is talking about the HUNDREDS of lives saved DAILY because the Nurse caught the error.

Today was my day off. Needed it. I purposely put my phone down. Only.. to just now see a 911 text sent a 4pm for ALL units for multiple Nurses.
It's like swallowing sand.
In 24 hours ICU admissions went up 20%. Let it rip Ontario.

As per these children's health organizations, keeping masks on in schools 2wks post March break would have made much more sense.
A 2wk observation period would allow Dr. Moore to review valid data re: impact of March Break, and likely would have been supported as science-based.
Another rural convoy going to Conestoga Mall.
Asked a few why they were participating and a few shared the attention was off them for Ukraine.
Can we think about that for a moment?
Nurses are being abused and exploited every single time they show up to work @fordnation no wonder they're leaving en mass. An already broken system will implode soon #RepealBill124#nursinginontario
Why? Because we have open beds. So filling beds is more important than pt safety? The risk to patients with these ratios and being admitted to a unit on outbreak just shows how irresponsible things are being handled
Unit just came off of outbreak, yet somehow we were still accepting ED and sx pts during the outbreak. At a time you want to reduce the risk of spreading the virus, my unit continued to be a revolving door for patients
Things have become unbearable at work. Our ratio on nights now is 1:8!! Had to call off my shift tonight after 2 nights with 7 Ax2 pts...it's truly back breaking out there #nursinginontario#RepealBill124#RPN
Nursing is so rough right now. Speaking w/colleagues who are seeking a way out of the profession. Stress levels at all time high- new diagnoses of PTSD, depression & anxiety. The term "burn-out" doesn't do justice to the fatigue & trauma we experience. Worst is, no help in sight.
Lol I have a classmate that is already all over Twitter making grand statements about the pandemic and like, you JUST graduated, donโt try and act like youโve been alongside those that were in this pandemic from the beginning. Disrespectful to do it for Twitter clout tbh.
Vaccinations are a prevention measure. Testing is a surveillance measure. Stop trying to claim surveillance measures are reasonable alternatives to prevention measures.
In Ontario, the unvaccinated account for 29% of the population but an overwhelming 83% of the current total ICU occupancy.
The fully vaccinated are a majority of the population (i.e. 62%) but just 8% of the ICU beds.
