THIS IS NOT ABOUT MATCHDAY PARKING. It's about a 365-DAY events & conference venue, 500 new jobs, 698 new homes - 370 with no parking, RPZ overspill & commuters
RPZs aren't about convenience for homeowners, they are about protecting the safety and amenity of neighbourhoods damaged by commuters & visitors, and reducing car journies into the city. RPZs are proven to achieve these goals. @BristolDon@MarvinJRees#RPZ#RPS#Bristol
Congrats to @EllieFreemanBS3 our new Green Councillor. Looking forward to some real actual change around here, fixing the right problems the right way.
STILL talking about MATCHDAY PARKING.
WAKE UP. Its been a problem since the 30s. It is no longer the problem that needs fixing around here, you've had years to do something about it.
We need 24/7 RPZ to protect our amenity from hundreds of flats and a 7 day a week events venue.
Demand that your councillors fix this properly. We don't want yesterday's problem fixed 10 years too late, we want today's and tomorrow's problems fixed NOW. We need RPZ.
Please retweet this if you want this to happen.
Frustrating that @LabourBristol 's Emily Clarke / Adam Potter are STILL talking about matchday parking around @ashtongatestad. It's been a problem since the 1930s and until 2016 was tolerable, but it's high time we change our language. This is no longer just a 'matchday' problem.
