Today members of our Elders Advisory Council recognized Chief Davies' new appointment with gifts representative of a leader. The elders shared the traditional significance of each. We appreciate their knowledge and guidance as we continue to work together.
November 8 is National Indigenous Veterans Day. We acknowledge Indigenous veterans who have served in times of peace and war. They displayed courage in face of discrimination and lack of recognition, even as they defended our country.
