Forest school is a chance for our children to explore their school's environment, build attention and communication skills and bring their learning to life.
Today as a link to science week, we have learned the science of a spider, how it spins its web, and why it doesn't stick to its own web like it’s pray.
Year 2 worked hard planting lots of different vegetables and fruit during forest school. Now all we have to do is wait to be able to enjoy all their hard work.
During a very muddy forest school today year one went pattern hunting. The children made patterns out of nature. They were then able to explaine their patterns to each other working out what came next to continue the pattern. Well done year one fantastic learning today.
Reception had lots of fun with our forest school bear today. He left a trail for them to find, then hid in the trees and waited till some one spotted him. Being outside is so beneficial for the children's wellbeing. Their smiles show just how much how much they enjoy it.
Year one celebrated their wellbeing today by creating a happiness tree. They drew or wrote what makes them happy then we placed them on the branches for others to enjoy.
Year 2 had a go at wattle and daub during forest school today. They had to listen to instructions, use prior knowledge and work well as a team. Great work year two I am very proud of all of you.
Reception had an amazing morning at Forest school. The children used flour, water and MUD to make biscuits. They then looked for exciting things in our forest to decorate them.
