Coordinated disclosure is the way to go.
Yet, in recent discussions I have claimed that the researchers are completely free to ignore this best practice - despite me being in the defender position most of the time.
And here we go again with some guy stuffing a CVE down my throat.

Talking of vulnerability disclosure: I just had a researcher publish a CVE out of the blue (after discussing the vuln at length). Plea to share potential wording with us first got ignored and we now have a factually wrong text with typos ignoring the context of the vuln.
