@dkhan @hiwattcreative @MadelineOnMars It depends on the gestational age. A c-section has morbidity and if there is no chance of viability, a D&E or delivery makes more sense. All in all, it’s an abortion, even if considered medically necessary.
I’m interested in becoming more EPIC proficient, and looking the EPIC User Web. Any must have courses for a clinical surgeon? Looking for things to make out practice more efficiently use Epic! #Epic#EMR
Reading the news this weekend, all I can say is that there is no greater curse than “May you live in interesting times.” Domestic or abroad, our policy choices for 50 years have come home to roost in a grandiose fashion.
Phase 1 of the Cefazolin for All revolution is complete.
We (@KimberlyBlumen1, Bernardo Sousa-Pinto, Lindsay Courtney, Christian Mancini) did a SR and MA of an absolute BOAT LOAD of articles to measure the rate of dual allergy between cefazolin and penicillins.
Our findings...
“May you live in interesting times” is truly a curse. Shocked, saddened and genuinely tearful reading the explanations and acknowledgements of today’s domestic terrorism.
@MamaDoctorJones I think the worst thing is we demand purity from young girls without discussing what sex is. It’s a lack of education mixed with a mob mentality, and young girls bear the brunt of the weight. Somehow boys are never included in these conversations, and it so important they are.
@GoodishIntent I swear by this stuff. It never makes my hair overly greasy and actually helps the curl form better. And it works much better than a bunch of more expensive serums
@DrSanObGyn1@AriannW@ShawnteJamesMD It’s even more frustrating when you think about how abortion laws are set up. 5 week bans are literally 3 weeks after conception.
Lovely thread. I’m 21 weeks and will be getting mine today. Pregnant women are often excluded from the science and the conversation, I’m so glad many HCWs are talking about their decision. Grateful to @acog and @MySMFM for making their stance clear. #CovidVaccine
I am an infectious disease physician at UCLA.
I am 15 weeks pregnant.
I chose to get vaccinated against COVID-19 today.
Thankful and grateful for @acog and @MySMFM for advocating for pregnant HCWs and allowing us to have a choice.

@RedStethoscope@DGlaucomflecken@Cigna We had the same issue after my last delivery. The company that ran the anesthesia group was run out of state and after months of back and forth, they reduced the payment. By then I just got angry and paid. Insurance needs to be more upfront.
