Dedicated Canadians who’ve poured 10, 15, even 20 years into their jobs at Tim Hortons are being shown the door. Not for poor performance. Not for lack of effort. But because a franchise sale opens the door to cheaper labour options that put profits first.

Tim Hortons grew into an icon by leaning hard on Canadian pride, small-town vibes, and that “always there for you” feel. They sold us community and tradition with every coffee. But when it counts, loyalty to workers gets tossed aside for the bottom line.

This isn’t just one bad franchise decision. It’s a pattern fueled by corporate lobbying for more temporary foreign workers—while real Canadians get sidelined.

We can’t call this “business as usual.” It’s choosing greed over people. It’s hypocrisy wrapped in a maple leaf.

If we shrug this off, it’ll keep happening—at Tim’s and everywhere else.

Your daily coffee choice is real power. Hit them where it hurts: their sales.

Stand up for the workers who built this brand. Demand better.

Skip the double-double until they commit to prioritizing Canadians and treating loyal staff with respect.
