Israel has demolished buildings inside the UN Palestinian refugee agency's East Jerusalem compound, which it seized last year.
The UN called it a violation of international law.
Israeli forces have also ordered dozens of families to leave their homes in southern Gaza in the first forced evacuation since the October ceasefire.
Join us for tomorrow evening's Media Society debate via Zoom on how the British media has covered both the Israel/Gaza conflict during the last two years, and the latest historic developments in the story. 6pm tomorrow, Tuesday 14th October.

JUST IN: The Colombian delegation shouted “Free Palestine” as they walked out of the UN hall to applause!
Netanyahu was left speaking lies to an empty room.
🚨BREAKING: During UN walkout thousands of New Yorkers are taking to the streets demanding an end to the genocide in Palestine and calling for the arrest of war criminal Netanyahu.
The mass walkout at #UNGA80 during Netanyahu's speech is a coordinated protest rarely seen on such a stage. However, the real diplomatic battles are fought in closed-door Security Council sessions and votes on resolutions. This is public theatre with a very serious message.
@PenguinUKBooks I read a lot of Jaqueline Wilson's books as a kid, and Harry Potter. These are the books that made me fall in love with reading, and they sparked my desire to be a writer.
@jellymalin I agree, it was a saving grace during the pandemic! It encouraged new readers, and got kids to read more. TimTok connected people through books, building a new book community in the process.
Say what you like about TikTok, but my family owns the Notting Hill Bookshop (yes, the one from the film) and the surge in young people buying books in the last year because of booktok has been wonderful to see. It's making reading cool again & I will always love the app for that
@Mslexia Sometimes you need to step away from something so you can tackle it with a fresh set of eyes. Have a day out, but be really present in the moment - observe more because inspiration can come from anywhere. Also, doing some writing prompts can help when you have a blockage.
I LOVE the #MagaretAtwood Creative Writing lessons on @MasterClass. That excitment and eagerness is exactly what I feel when I write ✍️ So grateful that I get to learn from from an incredible author 🙏🏼 #writerslife
