It’s fun to watch @haschweingruber lead @CSSSupervisors like a conductor as we work together to find what is next for the group. Look at these pictures! #csss2023
@Lngtrkng @BYU@byuROC Yeah. I’m more nervous it will sound funny as it blends together and sounds like WooShane. Big12 visitors will come in and look at each other… “What are they saying?”
Due to the continued snow, all Tooele County School District schools will have a virtual learning day again on Thursday, February 23. This will give our amazing crews time to remove the snow and make sure schools are safe for busses, students, parents, faculty, and staff.
This month's column. I got to pull out old physics books to make the case that science teaching changes for lots of reasons, not just the science of the time. https://t.co/lmJRnjkN0f
Earlier this week students were recognized at a drive through banquet at the District office for being winners of the Region 7 PTA Reflections Contest. Their entries will now move on to the state level of competition. Congratulations!
Did you know that picture books are useful for teaching science to all ages? @kissthebook shared with us at #UtSTA2022 the ways that students of all ages can effectively obtain, evaluate, and communicate information with picture books. https://t.co/CjuSE0Iryu
Step 0 for effective science instruction and discourse: Help kids feel safe to make a prediction and feel they don’t need to right on their first attempt @MikeHeithaus#UtSTA2022#UtSciEd
It’s wonderful hearing from @MikeHeithaus and the work of a marine biologist. BEST is how he is describing the importance of phenomenon-based and 3D Science learning without using the “lingo”. It’s a testament to how our goals for kids are related to real science!!! #UtSTA2022

This course will meet the new Utah Science Core (6-8) Endorsement Requirement for Three Dimensional Science and Engineering. Thank you UtSTA for your work preparing this.
This course satisfies a new requirement for secondary teachers seeking endorsements, often referred to as “the 3D course." You will engage with science phenomena in authentic ways; dive into science and engineering practices, crosscutting concepts, and core ideas.
Excited to hear from @JaimiButler share about the importance of Great Salt Lake and her science story at #UtahSTEMExpo22. Thank you to @BeehiveAcademy and all other participating schools and all the amazing teachers for supporting these projects!
