@B_Rabbit843 Also, the biggest problem with the OVA is that the more they made, the worse it got and it went into novel territory which became convoluted and eventually became a parody of a parody.
@ranmasaotome96 Asking out a bartender is fine, but please consider their line of work, it's like a musician but a bit harder. Gotta know what you're in for.
@ranmasaotome96 Oh for sure! As a longtime music fan, musician and critic-for-fun, Fantano for me always felt somewhat insincere, especially after he used to glaze SWANS until the accusations came out about Gira that ended up falling flat. His shift to review rap more was because of backlash.
@TheShootyGuy It was never good imo and Joss Whedon being a shitbag justifies all the years i got shit working in the comic shop. I was always ahead of the curve. Ayy.
I am getting restless these days and I think I need to reinvigorate my output artisticly. I am thinking about all my nice gear for podcasting and streaming, but what is missing is something different. Thinking outloud right now, but I wouldn't mind being at the mercy of others.
@predederva I remember in 2012 I was applying for work, but still living off gigs. I will say that the job that was easiest for me to get was the worst. I had my bad job era in a time others were thriving, but then again, you could live with the gig economy at that point.
NEW EPISODE!!!
This week, Otaku Nate, @TheOtakuJock and Lordcrab get put on Hold while reviewing the 1993 OVA Adaptation of Kosuke Fujishima's popular manga: Oh My Goddess!

@predederva Autismo boy here, and one who has held a few careers: the jobscape is absolutely hell for everyone and the systematic "bad apples" aren't those applying, it's those who "create" these job applications in the first place. I am fortunate to work, but it can be daunting.
The girlfriend helped sling some tapes, and we had a few bad anime takes at my booth. Then again, the rest of the booths were pokemon 3d prints and funko pops. Say what you will about that. Hitting another market in September that is leaning towards antiques and serious folk.
The lovely girlfriend with some VHS.
We had a great time, but I got a shithead take about how my booth was invalid for not having Neon Genesis Evangelion there. I then set em straight them on how the 12 tape set I sold helped me fund my Japan trip and it shut them up. @RRaycerx
So, sold a lot of tapes, made a lot of money. I'll be setting up another booth in September, but for now I am focusing on work, my setlist for an August goth night and planning a stream schedule again after just being too damn busy IRL to stop and update the net on my moves.
@themecha_nick@anniechrist620 Hey, I got my start as a little lad in the 80s and 90s thanks to Robotech; at the end of the day learning about the whole deal, having hate is stupid. I have better things to do with my time.
