Collected Balanites aegyptiaca seeds from Clair, a member of Sigma Youth Group in Baringo. We collected 182 kg for restoration across Kenya’s ASALs.

Restoration is about more than landscapes. It’s about creating livelihoods from nature. 🌱

We recently broke ground on our new Seedbank Facility in Isiolo, Kenya. This milestone brings us one step closer to safeguarding indigenous dryland seeds while creating a dedicated hub for researchers working to advance restoration and resilience across Kenya's drylands.

Today marks an important step in our journey. We have secured USD 100,000 in catalytic funding to scale restoration of Kenya's drylands while building sustainable livelihoods and resilient economies for pastoral communities.

Part of Google's Earth AI, the new data represents the state of the planet throughout 2025, distilling petabytes of multi-sensor data into a 64-dimensional embedding for every 10 meter pixel.

Google is purchasing 100,000 tonnes of carbon removal from @CharmIndustrial to deliver via biochar. Largest biochar purchase of all time!

Biochar is a co-product of bio-oil in our existing pyrolysis process, and roughly doubles our carbon removal yield per tonne of biomass.
