On this day in 1950 the Korean War began. 6000 New Zealanders served in Korea between 1950 and 1957, and 45 New Zealand servicemen died. The #KoreanWar is often referred to as the 'Forgotten War' but we have not forgotten.

@newzealandrsa@aucklandmuseum@NLNZ@ArchivesNZ With the rising cost of the provincial war memorial museum it was only because of Auckland RSA mounting a strong campaign that The Cenotaph and Court of Honour was completed and opened at the same time as the Auckland War Memorial Museum in 1929.
Join us as we mark 109 years since the Battle of Messines (1917).

Honoured to commemorate #AnzacDay 🇳🇿🇦🇺 with Australian Embassy & community friends at the Dawn Ceremony at Buttes New British Cemetery, Zonnebeke 🇧🇪
Grateful to all of our friends for joining us today 🙌
On 25 April, New Zealanders around the world remember the sacrifices of those who have served in conflicts, peacekeeping missions, and humanitarian operations around the world.
Today is a day to commemorate those who have experienced war and conflict: our veterans, our armed services personnel, families of the fallen, and our refugee communities. To honour the contribution of those who have served, and those who continue to serve. We will remember them.
