Sir Fraser played a key role in establishing MASC and suggested the addition of "Supramolecular" into the remit of the Macrocyclic Chemistry Group. He is pictured here after his lecture at the 2016 meeting. He will be greatly missed.
Sir Fraser Stoddart FRS, internationally renowned Nobel prize winning supramolecular chemist, b. 24th May 1942 - d. 30th December 2024. Our thoughts are very much with Fraser's family, friends, and members of the scientific community that he has supported throughout his career.
Many excellent nominations were received, and the judging panel decided to award two Highly Commended awards to Lei Chen (University of Manchester, De Bo group) and James Gallagher (University of Manchester, Leigh group). Congratulations Lei and James!
