@NYCMAGA1 @Bowflex The plastic locking device on the handles breaks at certain weights on the 1090s. I have both sets and it's happened multiple times. They only need to send out new handles tho. It's 100% a scam to get people to buy a whole new set.

@MikaelaSkyeSays @laweiner The plastic locking mechanisms snap too easily on the 1090s. I have both sets and have had to change the handles on the 1099 or purchase new locking plates a number of times. You don't need to replace the whole dumbbell and it's not a user error.

@KippLAdams They don't even need to replace the weights. The defective part is on the handle. It's because he plastic locking device on a certain weight breaks that the plates fall off. They could just send everyone new handles with locks that are reinforced with a metal part.
