In fact, all of my Black, female teachers were amazing. It’s a shame I only had three. Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade (same teacher, we had mixed grades) and 9th grade. That’s it.

I think I got a similar assignment from my Black, female English teacher in 9th grade. I didn’t know it at the time (wish I had), but looking back, she was one of the best teachers I ever had.
