XPENG showed off Iron, a 5'10" humanoid robot weighing 153 lbs
The robot is reportedly already working in their vehicle factory and runs on their in-house Turing AI chip
Wonder where they got the hips from
The mark of the authoritarian:
- Undermine the trust of the public in the sources of reliable information: the media, professional journalists, Wikipedia, universities, scientists, and government agencies.
- Accuse those sources of being corrupt, woke, Marxist, fascist, beholden to powerful interests, stupid, pedophile, whatever.
- Once the public is thoroughly brainwashed, fill their minds with ridiculous mind viruses: the country is bankrupt, it's being overrun by barbaric, murderous, subhumans immigrants who eat your pets and rape your daughters, our crypto-communist opponents want to take away your freedom of speech, elections are rigged, etc
- Now claim: "only I can save the country from the coming Armageddon."
This is a completely standard chapter from the authoritarian playbook.
Almost half of Americans are falling for it, with the help of a few billionaires who are shamelessly willing to sacrifice democracy in the altar of their continued financial and political power.
Trevor Milton was convicted for rolling a truck downhill in a demo & making false claims about company productsโ @SECGov "Over the course of many months, you used your considerable social media skills to tout your company in ways that were materially false," said Judge Ramos.
At yesterday's Tesla event, the Optimus bots were remote-controlled and voiced by humans. While the demonstration was interesting, I think Tesla could have been a bit more transparent by doing a few things differently:
1. It would have been helpful if Tesla showed the people controlling and speaking for the bots, instead of keeping them behind the scenes.
2. During the presentation, Elon mentioned that the bots would serve drinks, but thereโs a difference between them serving autonomously and being controlled to create that impression. It might be helpful to clarify that distinction in the future.
3. Employees referred to the bots as "human-assisted," as seen in the video below, which implies some level of autonomy. However, it seems all movements, except for walking, were remote-controlled.
A more accurate term might have been "teleoperated" or "telepresence" to include the speaking. Tesla is clearly still in the early stages of developing this technology, and this demo was more about showing whatโs possible in the future.
@FatDag@MartinR66803484@KobeissiLetter They mean the people with whom he signed a binding contract where he renounces doing any due diligence? Those they ? The SEC wants sanctions for failing to declare share purchase above 5% which is a crime
@TaraBull808 How on Gods earth is the bike in the wrong position ? Pulling out without looking , hitting a cyclist, then thumping him and throwing the biker head first into the road is criminal and the driver should lose his license as heโs not fit to hold one.
