On Wednesday the 29th of May 2024 my dear friend and mentor Ben Mijnheer passed away. Ben worked tirelessly to improve the accuracy of radiotherapy dosimetry and planning. He was greatly respected for his research, teaching and supervision of many students, including myself.
I fondly remember his neat pencil-written comments on our papers that he always returned promptly. The last decades his focus was on 3D dosimetry and EPID dosimetry. He will be sorely missed. Our thoughts go out to his wife and children. Marcel van Herk. [email protected]
