They told you the planet is dying… and you’re the problem.

Your food.
Your habits.
Your existence.

Meanwhile, behind closed doors, something else is growing.

AI data centres in the UK alone could pump out 123 million tonnes of carbon emissions — the equivalent of millions of human lives over a decade.

But where’s the outrage?

Instead, they blame cows… tax farmers… and squeeze the people who actually feed you.

While tech giants expand quietly… signing deals… building systems that never sleep… and never get questioned.

Different rules.
Different targets.
Same script.

So let me ask you…

Why are everyday people being punished…
while the biggest emitters keep getting rewarded?

Iraq's parliament will summon senior security officials to investigate claims that Israel operated a secret military base in the country during the recent war on Iran, according to an Iraqi official who spoke to The New Arab.

According to the official, parliament will summon the defence and interior ministers, alongside security commanders involved in field operations, after the Wall Street Journal claimed Israel had established a covert military site in Iraq’s western desert near the Saudi border.

The report alleged the base, located in the Nukhayb desert between Najaf and Anbar provinces, was used to support Israeli military operations during the US-Israeli war on Iran and hosted Israeli special forces and search-and-rescue units.

"Parliament will summon the defence and interior ministers and security leaders connected to the field situation to discuss the issue," an Iraqi official within parliament’s leadership told The New Arab.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Israel established the facility with US knowledge and used it as a logistical support hub for the Israeli air force. The newspaper also alleged Israeli aircraft carried out strikes against Iraqi forces that approached the site in March.

Iraqi authorities had allegedly previously believed the unidentified force operating in the area was American and functioning under the umbrella of the international coalition.

A 650-year-old-New Forest Oak tree has been rescued from an "ecological travesty" 💚

The Queen Oak tree located near Ringwood Road in New Forest, was on the verge of dying but on April 25 a restoration initiative was set in motion to secure the ancient landmark’s survival.

Its decline was accelerated by visitors and vehicles compressing the soil, starving its roots of water, nutrients and oxygen needed to survive.

Will Jones of the Tree Management Company joined expert tree specialist Matthew Shute to begin pruning of the surrounding areas.

Small wooden posts known as ‘dragon teeth’, were installed to create a barrier, keeping visitors at a safe distance and preventing vehicles from getting too close.

Will Jones added: "When you lose a tree like this, the ecological travesty is immense.

The opportunity to help protect such a remarkable tree is very meaningful and is a vital part of our ecosystem."

The Queen Oak is expected to require ongoing monitoring and care in the years ahead but those involved say Friday marked a significant turning point in the fight to preserve one of the New Forest most cherished landmarks.

Two huge mist-nets and a decoy caller were seized. 64 birds were rescued including a rare Bluethroat. Trapper will receive a fine of around 8000€.
