Rootstown's hustle really stood out in the final minutes. Waterloo came back hard. Moved the ball as well as it had all game in a frenetic rally. But Carson Hayn with some big drives and Luke Flowers with some huge boards down the stretch.

Congratulations to each of our youth teams that capped off successful seasons with championship game appearances yesterday. Both of our 5th Grade teams won championships and our 3rd Grade team was Gold bracket runner-ups. Our 6th Graders also advanced to the semifinals.
Rovers will look for 4th straight home win tonight against JFK in the regular season finale before traveling to Kirtland on Tuesday for the tournament.
The environment tonight brought me back. There's not nearly as many nights like this as we used to have in Portage County. Tonight was special. There's nothing quite like a packed gym on a winter night.
WHAT A GAME!
The fact that Rootstown's three seniors willed the team to an OT victory only added to the cinema of the night.
