750 of you here.
Thank you genuinely!
You have no idea how much this means to me:)
Now here's what's coming.
A full letter on love.
Not the romantic clichés
The actual psychology of it.
Lust, attraction, platonic love, parental love.
A complete model of how love actually works, in typical RT contrarian style.
I'll drop a snippet at 1k.
250 away.
It's in your hands:)
One of the most expensive lies is "I'm working on it."
It sounds responsible.
Nobody argues with it.
Years pass under the protection of that sentence.
The thing itself never gets touched.
Your brain doesn't store your life like a hard drive.
It doesn't keep a clean, chronological record of everything that happened to you.
It stores stories, fragments, impressions.
And it doesn't retrieve them equally.
It retrieves selectively, based on what it's currently looking for.
And what is it looking for?
Whatever confirms who you currently believe yourself to be.
You've probably heard
"you are a product of your past."
You've maybe even heard the self-help rebuttal:
"you are not a product of your past."
But here's what neither of them say:
your past is a product of you.
The present you.
The you that exists right now,
with the identity you've chosen and the story you've decided to live inside.
(This is just a snippet of my new letter on self-help and self-slop. The full letter is live rn)
@firstladyships Real relationships are built through the lows of life.
If you both can survive the lows of life together, you've basically won the relationship.
