📣 New report reveals the effectiveness of First Nations Centres in providing the necessary culturally sensitive support to First Nations students and their success at university.
A new Australian Centre for Student Equity and Success (ACSES) research report explores the diverse university pathways taken by First Nations students and how targeted support services are crucial elements of support to ensure their success at university.
The report outlines how First Nations Centres can elevate support services and provide an even stronger impact to help students overcome barriers, build confidence, and find a space where they feel comfortable.
Authored by James Beaufils (Jumbunna Institute for Indigenous Education and Research at University of Technology Sydney), Rebecca Taylor (Australian Council for Educational Research), and Daniel Edwards (Australian Council for Educational Research), the report was developed as part of the ACSES Small Grants Program.
