On Monday, we had the opportunity to partner with District 3 City Councilman and our favorite guy Coach Ted Hernandez to hand out nearly 300 turkeys and thanksgiving meals to the Southside community. We loved the chance to spend a little more time together and serve our community. It was incredible to see all of the smiling faces drive through as our guys got to load meals for Pueblo families.
We would like to give a huge shoutout to our community advocate Roxann Bryant and Sunset Park Elementary principal Amber Hertneky for all of their help in organizing the event.
We are extremely grateful to be surrounded by the community we are. We hope you and yours had the best holiday and that you were able to spend time with people who bring you joy and love.

Today, we lived someoneβs dream. The heavy feeling we have as we end this chapter together is actually a dream of so many who did not even get this opportunity. Today, we got to do something that we were not entitled to, but are still grateful. We stepped up against the #1 team in the state, took a shot and in the end, still left feeling like the richest people in the stadium. Because truly, how lucky are we?
Letβs start with the men who coach these boys. This staff is kid-first. Human before athlete. Heart and humility, guts and grit. Ryan Goddard (@CoachRGoddard) has assembled an Avengers level staff. Husbands, fathers, sons, brothers, servant leaders, men of our community who are committed to leading the next generation of great men. They put emphasis on developing high character, highly competitive but grounded individuals who want to be coached hard, but loved harder. How lucky are we to have this staff?
Next, the class of 2026. They have played a lot of football games but football will never be what they will be measured by. What will define this group is their growth, their development and the product they put out as people. They learned to let go of ego, embrace sacrifice and selflessness, and how to truly love others before themselves. And it showed. In how they competed right up to the very end and no one can ever take this brotherhood from you. How lucky are we to have something so special?
To the underclassmen, lock in. There is still a lot of story left to write. Youβre up. The foundation is strong. How lucky are we to get the chance to keep building?
The thing that will define this team the most is that at the end of the game today, they did the same thing in defeat as theyβve done in victory. Heads high, theyβve reached out to the guys across the trenches, brought them in and shared a moment of fellowship and respect with a team they just battled for 48 minutes with. You see, donβt let the points on the score board or a ranking define the character of the young men who know what truly matters when all is said and done. How lucky are we to have perspective?
And still, we are dirt. How lucky are we?

Talk about a dude who embodies every single value it means to be a Pueblo South Colt. From Something Extra to COLTure to Built Different to Shoe Standards, Jace Bellah (@jacebellah4) has grinding his way to becoming of the nationβs best defensive backs and can now call himself a scholarship athlete.
Choosing to bet on himself coming out of The SHU, Jace took his talents to Fort Collins as a preferred walk-on and has exemplified our newly adopted βdirtβ mentality every step of the way. His journey has not been without its share of challenges, but we are nothing short of proud of Jace for all of the hard work he has put in and his ability to do what weβve always known he was capable of.
While this moment feels incredible for Jace, we know he will continue to attack every single play with same mentality that everything is earned and we are owed nothing in return.
Jace Bellah is Steel City. Jace Bellah is Southside. And Jace Bellah is now a Division I FBS Scholarship Athlete.

The mantra goes, βYou canβt throw stones when youβre busy washing feet.β Itβs the foundation of the mentality that we have learned to embrace this season. When youβre busy serving others, remaining grounded and humble and undeserving but hungry, being all in for the good of the pride and not your own pride, weβve accomplished some of our goals.
As we step into the win or go home second season tonight, we stand together, united, ready for whatever is to come, grateful we simply get an opportunity to do something together that is owed to no one.

There is no way to truly describe how special this team is. Letβs set the scene. After an absolute shootout with #8 Conifer that saw some of the grittiest touchdowns we scored all year, starting QB Caeden Herrera left the game late in the 3rd quarter.
By the 4th quarter, and some huge defensive stops, we found ourselves right where we wanted to be. And in stepped 3rd string QB1 MJ Molina. On the road, in a win or go home playoff situation on a senior-heavy South Colts football team, in his first varsity snaps outside of junk time, MJ delivered a performance of a lifetime, throwing two TDs and a 2pt conversion, adding a wildcat 2pt conversion to Chace Hurley.
Jake Pisciotta, Namon Robinson, Landen Cordova, Israel Allen, Chace Hurley, Caeden Herrera, MJ Molinaβ¦insane tonight. Our offensive line? Unreal work, especially late in the game giving the sophomore QB time to deliver the final strikes. Our defense? Wow. Just wow. Bend but donβt break. Special teams? Huge. Ben Vega. That guy. Touchback MACHINE tonight. We more than likely forgot a lot a names but these dudes mattered. Every single one of them.
We canβt say enough other than we play every single moment for each other. It took every single guy in black and white and the result is 48 more minutes. We are beyond proud of this group. We are humbled. We thank everyone for making the trip and we look forward to seeing where we land next week.
For now, we are going to enjoy another movie-like ending. We canβt make this stuff up.

The pride of d60. Colts have the cannon. Colts have the lamp. And despite jealous rivals trying to claim coach Goddard is leaving to try to discredit the colts future. Heβs not going anywhere. Go Colts !!!!

Our dude is ballinβ at the next level. Reporter Marty Cesario (@martycesario) confirmed that Jace Bellah (@jacebellah4) currently leads all of Division I FBS football in interceptions per game. Jace has grabbed 4 INTs in his last 4 games. He is also currently 5th on the team with 29 total tackles.
The Colorado State (@CSUFootball) walk-on is the definition of Southside toughness, knowing what it means to remain humble and continue working hard. We could not be more proud of Jace and we look forward to seeing what he accomplishes in these final few games.
The Rams are back in action Saturday against New Mexico.

It is only fitting that senior night falls on a chance to win a league championship. This has been a resilient group who had to grow up fast, quick and early.
It took a lot to get here. Through the ups and downs, the blessings and the lessons, it was never easy but has always been worth it.
Friday Night we are Twenty Tight. Stand tall. Finish strong. Together.

We want to take a moment to congratulate our own Coach Ted Hernandez on being elected as the District 3 representative for Pueblo City Council.
Coach Tedβs love for others shines brightly as he leads and mentors the young men of our program every single day and prepares them for life beyond football in the process. But it is who Coach Ted is when he takes The Shoe off that we admire the most. Coach Ted has a heart for others that is unmatched. He is proof of a rose grown from the concrete with the understanding that there is never a moment in life where we can be satisfied because the job is never finished. There is always more to be done, more opportunities to serve, more chances to make the people around you better. There is no mountain top, only the journey to find more mountains to climb.
We cannot wait to see what is in store for our community with Coach Ted in leadership and we are confident that the future of Pueblo is in great hands. Thank you for everything you do for us today and every day and we are so proud and humbled to share you with others as you embark on this new journey.
