This afternoon we welcomed our new first year Veterinary Nursing students to the CSC for a online introduction followed by a in person tour! We introduced all our facilities and look forward to seeing everyone soon for our sign ups! @RVCVN@RVCSU

Congratulations to the wonderfully talented Larissa (Teaching fellow at the RVC Clinical skills centre) for passing her vet exams and becoming Dr Larissa Aquino Campos MRCVS. We are very proud of her!
It’s our last day teaching the part one suturing session today. We have had some positive and constructive feedback from our students as always . Want more? don’t worry part two starts next week and we have lots more resources online too to help you!
Suturing in the CSC goes techy in 2021!
Thanks to the help of RVC AV technician (Chris) students are able to view suturing demonstrations in detail and at a safe distance.
Our Suturing and instrumentation teaching sessions are going really well this week. Remember to bring your suture packs with you and keep on practising.

Our satellite CSC reopens for all students on the 6th May. Our Thursday lates are back on the 13th of May and all our sign ups for all students resume on Tuesday the 18th of May. See you soon!
Tip 3 - If there is a calculation, you will be given a calculator, pen and paper. Write your workings down in full so you can go back to it if needed.
Tip 4 - Use your REST stations. Have a drink of water, go to the bathroom. Stepping out of the circuit can help with exam stress.
Tip 1 - Don't worry about mistakes you may THINK you have made. Approach each station with a 'fresh start.
Tip 2 - Read and RE-READ the scenario. Make sure you are doing what is being asked of you.
The CSC satellite is in the Council room on the first floor of the Eclipse. Here are the details.
- Open 9-5pm Monday to Friday for all students
- Maximum occupancy 10 people
- No sign up but students should check the number of people before entering
