So incredibly proud of Max. He did more than he could with the car he had. From over 100pts to only 2pts.
Driving inferior machinery and still brought it to Abu Dhabi, absolute legend and greatest of all time
The sun will shine again.
🚨 | Sebastian Vettel: “I think the scary thing is he's getting better.”
“Of course, he’s blessed with a lot of talent on top of that. But I think in the situations where it matters, he keeps his head, hardly ever makes a mistake, delivers when he needs to, feels the pressure.”
“We all do … but he's able to find a space in his head where he's able to put that to a side and focus on what matters.”
Opinion: Novak Djokovic may need to train much harder if he wants to not run out of gas so quickly in majors and stay healthy.
The body tends to overcompensate when underprepared and undercooked and it may be contributing to his constant injuries as well.
I realize Novak is 38, and as he said, biologically things aren't the same.
However, it's still very alarming how he can no longer play even a few sets during week 2 of majors without feeling very tired and being low on energy. And it's also alarming how he's injured during seemingly every tournament now.
If he is to give himself the best chance to win his 25th Slam, I believe he has to train much harder and also play some warmup events because it's proven to be practically impossible to win a major without it.
No matter what happens, Novak Djokovic has nothing left to prove. He is the undisputed greatest of all time and has done it all. Anything from here is just a bonus and it's always a privilege to watch him play - whether he wins or loses.
But these are just my thoughts and some food for thought if he still has some goals left to achieve in this sport.
