@vb2616@jdflynn My daughter was born w/ a congenital condition that is strongly linked to trisomy 13 and 18. We did amniocentesis so we could know how to prepare for whatever challenges life would throw her way. I was shocked to learn nurses were using it as a precursor to schedule abortions
@VRTINDUSTRIES@tylerrdawson Pretty sure he’s joking.
Alberta health cards aren’t even made from cardstock. They picked the cheapest, flimsiest paper to hold some of the most important information. The paper starts breaking down as soon as air touches it. I doubt anyone is complaining about this.
@kldeason@DP0STS Even without a soft floor, unless baby hits the soft spot on the very top of their head, they will more than likely be okay. They’re so low to the ground. And they have a skull. These things just make the parents feel better about a fall.
@genologos@deadwronghist I thought the same thing. I can't imagine watching any show today featuring someone like Andrea Dworkin. Especially not a talk show.
@jlippincott My daughter wasn't sleeping well - we figured out she was stressed during the day & so she was having trouble falling asleep at night. We made changes one at a time and one of the most effective for her sleep was immediate consequences. Our poor boundaries were stressing her out.
@1goodtern Unless Im misunderstanding, the report says they provided a report on the status of inequities for kids with special needs. They didn't get access to programs because of closures and now they're behind.
@CP24 So kids with special needs didn't get normal access to programs because everything was closed and now they're behind. So.... not really "kindergarteners" but "kindergarteners with special needs".
@CP24 I feel like this context is missing from the article: "Our team at the Offord Centre for Child Studies...produced a report that provided a comprehensive description of the status of inequities in early childhood development in Canada for children with special needs"
