Our microalgae goes through a multiple-step process before being used to feed invertebrates. Here we are inoculating Chaetoceros calcitrans from a 250mL flask into a new 250mL. The algae will continue to grow to feed our invertebrates. #Microalgae#MarineScience
Meet our macroalgae! It comes in three types: Greens, Reds, and Browns. Today, we highlight Macrocystis pyrifera, commonly known as Giant Kelp! Found worldwide, this species can grow 1 foot a day in the wild and reach over 100 feet long.
