We had an awesome 1st day of school at the brand new RIVER VALLEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL!!! For the first time ever, we held our Pledge at the Pole with all of our K-5 students in one place. Thank you to our amazing new RVE staff members for leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance.
What an incredibly fun Homecoming Week it’s been with our students! The school spirit was shining brightly all week and #MustangPride was on full display!

We had a visit today at TOE from a native amphibian of Michigan, the Cope’s/Eastern Gray Tree Frog. This little guy was found clinging to the Gaga ball pit (which is white plastic). It had camouflaged itself perfectly against the ball pit. It was safely relocated.
Pre-School & Kindergarten Round-Up will take place on Thursday, April 29th. This event will be a drive-thru format in order to maintain the safety of students, parents, and staff members. Please see the flyer for times and documents to bring. @RVSchoolDistMI#wearerv
Given the impending weather conditions over the next twenty-four hours and out of an abundance of caution, The River Valley School District will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday February 16th. There will be no in person or virtual learning.
We’d like to congratulate our best dog friend CC who has graduated from her therapy dog training program. She is now a full fledged therapy dog! Congratulations CC! #ccthetherapydog
Elementary students’ artwork is on display in Downtown St. Joe at Oh My Darlings! All Grades K-5th are represented in this display. Thank you to Mrs. Folk helping to develop our creativity and making sure we get a chance to share it with others!

The TOE Chinook Salmon are just a little over 5 weeks old. They had a visit from Salmon Claus (Mr. Z) over winter break for their first feeding of solid food. The Salmon, now known as “fry” will continue to get bigger and stronger in the coming weeks. #WeAreRV
Here at RV...we care for others ❤️
First graders did jobs at home to earn pajamas for our annual PJ drive. These pajamas were delivered to the Emergency Shelter today, spreading love and joy to others for Christmas.
