@Joe4Liberty_@QTarantino_ Nah. His short film The Chair got a lot of attention which led to a producer reaching out to him. It's been talked about.

@QTarantino_ For anyone who is curious he's talked about this already in interviews.
Literally the first question answered in this interview:

@HighlightPlanet@QTarantino_ He's openly talked about it in interviews multiple times already. His horror short The Chair went viral and he got approached by a producer to turn that into a feature length movie, but he instead proposed the idea of obsession instead.
@x_pacaud lot of box office talk is around projections. Similar to weather. if every forcaster was saying theres a 99% chance it will be 100° tomorrow, & 1 of them failed to use terms like projected, would you throw a fit over terminology & accuracy when it still ends up being a hot day.
@x_pacaud Im not disagreeing that they should have said projections. Every other report on box office numbers is saying the same thing except they're actually using words like projections and estimates. I'm saying its not that big of deal to make when the result is gonna be the same.
@x_pacaud Sure. They could have worded it with projections instead of declaring outright that was the final total. Point I'm simply making is that even had they waited for the weekend to finish, the headline would still be the same just with a slightly different number.
@x_pacaud Fair enough, but this kind of reporting is normal with box office predictions. The estimates are usually off by a bit, but its rare for them to be very far off. Even if the movie made 10 million more than Projections it would still not be a good number conpared to the budget.
@RobotHimejoshi Could have sworn there was a volume extra that confirmed this, but either way it's not that hard to see how an invisible person could sneak up on a robot and immobilize it. The other quirks still give them massive advantages over students who couldn't utilize their quirks.
@bxn45I@MatasChamorrom2 It's not complicated to catch people up on maireand have her help. The virus was also from Gen V and that got brought over no problem into the main Boys storyline. Kripke also had input in Gen V, so theres no reason they should have build it up so much for it to lead to nothing
@bxn45I@MatasChamorrom2 Because all of season 2 of Gen V was them repeatedly telling us Marie was one of the strongest and building her up to help stop homelander. Season literally ends with them meeting up with Starlight and A train to help the,. And all that buildup leads to nothing.
@YaBoyRoshi So upseting espescially with the cancelation of season 3. Makes it really feel like the whole spinoff was for nothing. Like she didn't even need to be the one to kill homelander, just throw her in that final battle to help stall him out.
@YaBoyRoshi YES!! Literally ever since I've watched it, I have to forcibly stop myself from trying to compare other movies and shows that use time travel to it, because it just kind of ruins it at that point
