Three years ago on October 7, the world changed for Jews across the world when we saw a massacre in Israel carried out by terrorists. On October 8, the world changed for me. Just a day after those horrific attacks we saw just how many people still hold abhorrent views and turn a blind eye to Islamist extremism.
Three years on, the Conservative Party must be clear: We stand with British Jews. We will confront antisemitism and we have the moral clarity to know who our allies are - and Israel is one of them.
On the anniversary of October 7, reposting this, which I wrote in the days following that atrocity. Nothing has changed, save to say that somehow the world has decided to turn on the victims of that terrible massacre rather than the perpetrators. Such is the depth of antisemitism in the world today.

Slavery has been going on since they built the pyramids
In other words, the British didn't start it
On the contrary, they were the ones who stopped it
You can't just invent history for your own purposes
Let's be clear- It wasn't our security services that thwarted the terrorist bombing of RAF Fairford, they knew fuck all about it. A local farmer, on her way home from a party, saw the vans and called the police. Mass murder was averted through blind luck. We are not safe under this Labour government.
Last week, on the 25th anniversary of 9/11 I was astonished/ angered to hear on BBC’s Today programme , a couple of Muslim women explain how after the attack they felt threatened and their values questioned by the way they were looked at and treated..
Frankly I couldn’t give a f++k. My sympathy lay entirely with the innocent dead.
Nor did I give a f++k how the Irish felt when in the Seventies the nation was in the grip of IRA bombers.
The decision to put these two women on air was made by the programme’s Editor. No wonder MSM is viewed with so much suspicion.
Who could possibly have thought views of two Islamic women were appropriate on the anniversary of 2,977 deaths?
Only a BBC employee.
Twenty-five years after September 11th, an entire generation of Americans has grown up with no memory of that morning.
That makes teaching them what happened more important, not less.
They need to know who attacked us, why America was attacked, what we lost, and what happened next.
They should know about the innocent Americans who went to work and never came home.
The firefighters and police officers who ran toward burning buildings.
The passengers of Flight 93 who fought back. And the generation of Americans who raised their right hands and went to war because their country had been attacked.
History cannot become something we soften, sanitize, or allow to disappear with the generation that lived through it.
Because history forgotten becomes history vulnerable to repetition.
Bill Clinton: “The Palestinians were offered a state. They refused. A state wasn't their goal. Killing Jews was."
This must be shared every single day.
My Dear America,
You have forgotten 9/11.
25 years ago, Muslim terrorists murdered nearly 3,000 of your innocent people in New York. Today the city that was attacked is led by a Muslim mayor who swore his oath on the Quran.
That is not “progress.” That is how a nation forgets who hit it and why.
Muslim terrorists did not only fly planes into your towers. Their ideology has taken root in your streets, your schools, your politics, and now your highest city office.
You promised “Never Forget.”
You are forgetting.
Remember 9/11.
Remember who did it.
Remember what they believe.
The combination of the Lindsay Clancy story, the one year mark for Charlie’s murder and the 25th for 9/11 is a lot of darkness for one week. Hug your kids. Go outside. Hold hands. Thank God for the privilege of being alive. And say a prayer for the lost and grieving.
.@edsheeran I brought my wife and two daughters to MetLife Friday because we are huge fans of yours. We arrived early, I spent $180 on two sweatshirts for them, watched the first two opening acts and were having a great time.
Then Macklemore decided to turn your concert into his political rally.
When he started chanting “Free Palestine” and pushing his clearly uneducated version of the Israel/Gaza conflict, my daughters looked at me completely confused. I had brought them to an Ed Sheeran concert, not to have an opening act lecture them about Middle East politics.
After Friday night, I started looking into Macklemore’s history. What I found, including his repeated use of antisemitic tropes, made the whole thing even worse.
So I took my family and walked inside alongside hundreds of your other fans. As we were walking in, even the MetLife security guards were rolling their eyes at what was happening on stage.
We waited until Macklemore was finished before returning to our seats. Then we watched your show, which was phenomenal.
I left Friday hoping maybe this had caught you and your team off guard.
Then tonight you allowed it to happen again.
You knew exactly what Macklemore had done the night before, and you gave him the stage again.
Friday might have been Macklemore’s decision. Saturday was yours.
You have a lot of Jewish fans who love your music, buy your albums and merchandise, and bring their kids to your concerts.
Tonight, you lost four of them. And I suspect plenty more.

Until last week, men over 50 were entitled to a free PSA prostate cancer check. But the government has now decided to withdraw that right. I cannot for the life of me work out what their reasoning might be.
