@MarkCuker He withdrew because he wanted to keep his job. He can propose all he wants but PBMs wont stop until Congress gets them out of Part D. He's got as much power over PBMs as I have over CVS. I believe he knows it's wrong but he has no power.
@MarkCuker Per NCPA, he has zero power to stop DIR fees. They say his job is to do what the law says & the law says DIR fees are to be used to kill indy pharmacies. Only a new law can save us. Meanwhile, my Pharmacy staff is risking their lives dispensing Medicare Part D RXs at a loss.
@MarkCuker Azar has no power. Only Congress can stop PBMs. Prob is that Congress gave them the license to steal in the 1st place. They ain't taking that back. There should be no PBMs in Part D. Easy fix..remove PBMs, pay all pharmacies same cost plus fee and save TRILLIONS! #nopbmsinpartd
@TruthRX@SeemaCMS@SecAzar But for Part D it's the Federal government that has decided to pay CVS, etc more than independents. It's their program. Think about that. The Federal government is putting us out of business. PBMs just doing what the government allows them to. Disgraceful. #nopbmsinpartd
@WBTV_News Easiest bill ever. Remove PBMs from Part D. Save taxpayers BILLIONS every year. Improves access to pharmacies for all. The only downside is Senator pockets not as full.
@Commpharmacy@SenJohnThune Just like all sitting Senators, @SenJohnThune has overseen the rise in DIR fees and closing of independent pharmacies because of the Medicare Part D DIR fees they keep in place. Yeah, thanks for "supporting" small businesses. If you don't stop it, you support it.
Great webinar from @Amplicare on DIR fees yesterday. Summary...DIR fees going up, reimbursements going down and many pharmacies will close in the Summer when DIR recoupment (theft) happens. Happy open enrollment!
@MaddensPharma @TruthRX@wesmoss1018@aawayne Forgot to include in your Visa scenario that the Federal gov. would require you to make all purchases with a Visa card and the Federal gov. would prohibit you from using cash or any other form of payment. Then Visa would require all merchants to go thru expensive accreditation.
Breaking Hickory- vehicle slammed into the CVS on Highway 127 in Mountainview. There is some damage to the building but no one was hurt. Photo courtesy of the Hickory Daily Record.
@pcmanet Fixed it for you...
Gutting #PBM#rebates and negotiations would save taxpayers $196 billion β making it one of the most successful regulations ever issued by the U.S. government.
@lvlorgan You work for an entity that is trying to put my second generation family business out of business. Every day you walk in your store you are one day closer to ending our lives as we know it. You want a pat on the back for that?
