@EmmettPepperWV The "no scooters on sidewalks" guardrail would work better if Charleston invested into our bike infrastructure. Someone riding a scooter on the Boulevard is not going to feel safe mixing w/ 40 MPH traffic, and will likely end up on the sidewalk causing safety issues w/ peds.
Despite dreary prediction of rain & thunderstorms it ended up being a gem in @BikePGH Rode @pogohbikes e-bike for ~4 hours.
Saw much including this new, amazing one long block street at Pitt.
-raised x-walk
-bioswales
-protected bike lane
-traffic calming & more
-bus shelters
“The only clear line I draw these days is this: when my religion tries to come between me and my neighbor, I will choose my neighbor…Jesus never commanded me to love my religion.”
~ Barbara Brown Taylor

Big thanks to @RepPeterDeFazio for laying the groundwork with the INVEST Act to finally update our country's 1950's approach to transportation to meet 21st Century needs. I appreciate your leadership! @T4America

Just a few hours ago, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the CDC, announced that they are no longer recommending that fully vaccinated people need to wear masks – whether inside or outside.
A child was shot to death less than 5 miles from the state Capitol last night. Kids stood in his blood waiting for their morning school bus.
Maybe our AG should look at the pain gun violence breeds in our communities before congratulating himself for a poorly timed culture war.
