"But religion has lost its power, and now there is no real belief in God."

I came across the above in a highly praised book by two Japanese psychologists I have just started reading. While they may be speaking about what happens in their country or some parts of the Western world, the statement is quite sweeping—and incorrect.

We returned from Saudi Arabia a few days ago. You cannot see a sea of people coming from all parts of the world for Umrah and say the above. And that's only one example.

Religion is still very much alive in much of Africa, South America, and Asia, with the exceptions of Japan and China. So, how did they miss this glaring fact?

We are all ignorant of what we do not know. Yesterday, a friend posted about how helpless and ignorant we sometimes feel when we cannot understand a particular language. I have experienced this countless times. Despite my Ph.D., I felt empty.

Anyway, may our belief in God never waver because He, indeed, exists, amin.
