#TAccess isn't just about elevators. It means raised platforms for level boarding, step-free paths that are easy to navigate, and clear lighting and signage. All these accessible features are included in our redesign of the Green Line Symphony Station.

Improving #TAccess for riders with disabilities is a core factor of #BuildingABetterT. In Hingham, we're redesigning the ferry dock to meet updated accessibility standards while also increasing capacity, reducing maintenance & enhancing rider experience.

Accessibility at the T has been a long fight. In 2002, exec board members Joanne Daniels-Finegold and Tom Gilbert, with others, sued the MBTA, reaching a settlement in 2006. In 2018, R-TAG was created to continue the plaintiffs' work. Watch to learn more: https://t.co/kwnes54Z50
In 2021, we’re looking to grow. Our members and organizational partners guide our work - that’s why we’re launching more social media accounts and ramping up our outreach in the new year. If you or your organization want to get involved, send an email to [email protected]!
On 12/14, the FMCB approved the updated Forging Ahead plan. Rider comments led to some key changes, including:
-Continue E Line to Heath St
-Continue some ferry service
-Continue some weekend trips on @MBTA_CR
-Restore certain bus routes

We dedicated our Oct. and Nov. general meetings to Forging Ahead presenters. These meetings provided an invaluable platform for people with disabilities and seniors to share their concerns directly with the MBTA. Some of the issues we raised led to changes in the final plan!
