Y’all keep saying, “But women fought for the right to work,” as if feminism is about making sure every woman works outside the home.
That’s not the point. Feminism is about choice, the same freedom men have to decide what kind of life they want.

What I’m saying is that a husband should work hard enough to build a level of financial security where being a stay-at-home wife is a genuine option for his wife, not something she’s forced into because she has no other choice. If she wants to work, she works. If she wants to stay home, she stays home.

There’s also a huge difference between a financially secure woman who chooses to be a housewife and is fully provided for, and a woman who is essentially an unpaid maid with no financial independence because patriarchy has left her with no alternatives.

One is choice and autonomy. The other is dependence created by a lack of options.

That’s the distinction!!
